About the trip:

Ride a bike through Iceland Highlands. Gravel Cycling in Iceland is not for the faint hearted! Ride endless hard packed dirt roads while embracing the elements. The Cyclist’s Menu and Icebike Adventures join forces to create a trip like no other. The trip showcases the best of Iceland’s gravel. Hard packed lava dirt & double track backcountry roads.

Cyclist Menu and Icebike team up for this trip.

 The cycling:

You ride 30-80 miles with 2-5,000 ft of elevation gain, daily. Each morning you will ask yourself if today’s ride will beat yesterday’s. Your senses will be completely saturated. As you come around a bend in the road or out from behind a volcanic caldera. A smile will imprinted on your face. The elements of Iceland welcomes you with open arms as we endure each day with an adventurous heart. 75% of Iceland’s roads are dirt. This provides an unbelievable canvas for a bucket list destination. You need to have an open mind towards finding peace with wind, rain and sunshine… whatever the day may bring! The entire country resembles what it’s like to be above tree line in Colorado or north western Canada. Weather rolls in and out quick and when it does we’ll be ready to react in whatever way we need to travel safe. Iceland Gravel calls, let’s #ridebikeseatfood
