Honestly, this was one of the best trips I have ever been on! Our guide David took such good care of us. He was knowledgable about biking, the surrounding area/trails, as well as Icelandic history. We were definitely challenged by the trails (much steeper than in Vermont), but we always felt like David had our safety and riding ability in mind when choosing what trails to ride. We could not recommend Icebike enough.

Ultimate Adventure for People that Love to Mountain Bike.

If you love to mountain bike, Icebike has created the ultimate way to experience Iceland. They are top of their game (and the their vehicles are just plain cool). The pre-trip preparations and tour were extremely well organized. We were in the best of hands from the moment we touched down in Iceland to the moment we left. The huts were very comfortable for backcountry accommodations and we ate very well. Our guide David was knowledgeable and an extremely talented rider. He knew how to give us the ultimate riding experience. He was really fun to hang out with but gave our group space when we needed it. Both David and IceBike exceeded my expectations in every way and gave me a trip I will remember for the rest of my life

Wicked and unique riding experience!

My husband and I had a fabulous experience with Icebike Adventures! Before we arrived in Iceland, we emailed the company to ask which day trips would be appropriate to book based on our experience and riding skills. Ásta responded promptly with helpful insight. We ended up choosing “The Edge” and “The Tectonic” tours.

The morning of the trips, the Icebike staff offered us coffee and gave us energy bars to take with us. Thortiste (I’m unsure of the spelling of her name!) was our guide for both tours – she was great! She encouraged and challenged us, checked in to make sure we were doing ok, and let us stop to take breaks and photos. The bikes supplied by Icebike were in excellent condition, and they had GoPro attachments available on some helmets. The terrain was diverse, challenging, and fun, and the views and scenery spectacular (especially on The Tectonic ride!). We would definitely recommend choosing Icebike Adventures. They are knowledgeable, professional, fun, and offer a fabulous experience. Thanks to everyone at Icebike for some awesome adventures!

Fantastic way to experience Iceland, Great guide and bikes.

We did this on the first day of our Iceland Road Trip and I wish the entire trip could have been on a bike. It was a magical way to experience the dramatic and challenging Iceland landscapes. The weather was far then ideal on the day of our ride, but Magne adjusted the itinerary so that we could still get out and ride. Everything about this experience was great, from the jeep ride to the finish line Viking beer. Would definitely do it again.

Epic Riding. Epic Views

Talk about a trip of a lifetime. My wife and I wanted to do some riding in different terrain than we are used to and we got it. It was challenging but in the best ways. I don’t think we would have had the experience we had without our guides. They knew to change our plans and go somewhere else when questionable weather was moving in for the day. I think that’s the number one benefit of a legit guide service.

Trip of a lifetime!

My husband and I booked the 3 day Thors Garden trip with Icebikes. We spent the first half day riding the lava trail outside or Reykjavik, which was a great. We then packed up the super jeep and headed to Thorsmork. The super jeep tour on the way was almost worth the cost of the trip. We stopped to see the Seljalandsfoss waterfall on our way. As well as other notable areas of interest and crossed a couple of rivers. All super fun!

The stay at the Volcano Huts in Thorsmork was great. Good food, nice accommodations and an interesting group of people also staying at the huts. The trails were challenging, a fair amount of hike a bike, but totally worth it for the descents! In the afternoon we took the super jeep to see another beautiful waterfall. The last day we drove back towards Reykjavik and biked down into the Reykjadalur valley. We soaked in the Reykjadalur Hot Springs before continuing down to end the ride at a cafe for a beer and coffee.

Unreal Experience

This should be on anyone’s adventure bucket list. Spectacular scenery, amazing trails, great people, helicopters, plentiful beer, excellent food, bonfires, glaciers, hot springs… an unforgettable experience. I am an intermediate rider at best, while others in my group were more advanced. We all had a great time. Book the trip. You won’t regret it.
