Respect the Fragile Nature
Landmannalaugar’s single-tracks are mostly unmarked and unmapped, so tread carefully. Summer lasts only six weeks, giving vegetation little time to recover. Stay on the trail, avoid skidding, and ride respectfully. Iceland’s Nature Reserve monitors the area closely, and responsible riding keeps it open for all mountain bikers.
