Go big, or go home. This is an epic day of heli-biking in geothermal volcano area. This day includes fast technical descents with challenging hike a bike climbs. This is no lazy downhillers helibiking day! This trip is All Mountain style traverse including challenging hikes and technical descents. Super scenic helicopter flight out of Reykjavik city center. Heli takes over a steamy geothermal region, and we touch down on the Hengill volcano peak . This is the nice start of an awesome 5km descent. Far away from civilisation we ride a volcanic single track. We pass rivers and ride through valleys. After that we try sandstone ridge line riding and pause only to take in the majesty of this remarkable area.

As the day wears on we work our way up to the tectonic lava trail. Enjoy the scenery before our final technical fast and flowy traverse down. We end our ride at the geothermal area of Nesjavellir where steam rises from the ground. The Nesjavellir plant generates electricity and hot water for district heating for Reykjavikians.  A day to remember. This is an unforgettable trip suitable only for experienced riders with some grit.
